Tanzanian Soul 76cm x76cm
My inspiration for this work was from a recent trip to see The Great Migration in Tanzania. Little did I know that the very heart and soul of this amazing country would have such an impact on me personally.
From the Lofty heights of misty Mt Kilimanjaro to the vast Great Rift Valley. From the Mountain of God to Lake Natron and the vast pink of flamingo on its shores and skies. From its warm compassionate people from so many beliefs all living side by side. Hence the people are not wearing clothes, depicting they don’t have anything that they don’t really need. It’s barren terrain and bare pastures which the Maasai call home. The flowers represent their happy joyous disposition despite it all. I salute you. From nothing, you have everything.
Mixed media on canvas.
