My inspiration for Good morning Bronte is the absolute delight felt when visiting this beautiful place. For some it’s that early morning exhilarating swim with mother nature crashing over the edge of the pool. For others it’s looking out to sea. For me it’s the movement of the water and life around the rocks. It’s mesmerising and I can sit and watch it for hours. The smell, the taste and the cool air beg me to paint it. It tempts me to feel it.
With the textures of the rocks and the rolling of the water, Bronte to me is a happy reinvigorating experience.
Using a limited palette of primarily three colours plus white, this work sings.
