Inspired by the memories of an amazing corner florist in the streets of Paris. It was absolutely covered in flowers with a petite awning sheltering those delicate blooms. The perfume as I walked past was so soft and sweet.
This work is full of textures made by scratching and scraping when the paint is nearly dry. I actually used a bamboo skewer and my trusty palette knife. There’s also lots of mark making. Using only three colours plus white, it is special.
