How can I explain this work - well, it sings as it has my Mum’s very special sheet music in it. It’s full of texture (something about life’s up and down experiences). It has space - somewhere to rest. It has rich colour and soft gentle hues - for passion and for loneliness. And a glass! Which is of course Half full!
A friend once said to me that she doesn’t understand the airy fairy descriptions of art - haha, funny, because art is painted by such creative people. Each work has the most intimate and personal expression of the hand that created it. It sings, it explores, it’s courageous and it searches for acceptance.
This work, Glass half full, is all of that. It’s a gentle extension of me, the artist….being brave enough to share myself with you and the world.
