When so many Italians migrated to Australia, many settled amongst the canals of the MIA and Leeton. In turn this gave vitality and life to a harsh yet beautiful land, forever changing its vista. 

They have come from everywhere. Some from the vibrant, so amazing rolling Tuscan Hills, some from Sorrento and Calabria. Some even from those fabulous little houses clinging to the Amalfi coast. From so far and so welcome.

The water coming together in the foreground represents the joining of the Mediterranean Sea and the Murrumbidgee River.  Forever one.
